New Zealand earthquake casts doubts over IPC Athletics World Championships

September 6 - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Local Organising Committee for the Christchurch 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships are reviewing what effect the major earthquake in New Zealand at the weekend has had on the city staging the competition next January. 

 

Norfolk returns to world number one spot after US victory

September 5 - Britain’s Peter Norfolk sealed his 18th major singles title on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour with a spectacular three set victory against American top seed David Wagner in the quad singles final at the US Open USTA Wheelchair Championships in St Louis to complete a fine comeback to the sport after a five month break.

September 4 - Juice Doctor, the company co-founded by five times Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave, has announced a sponsorship deal with Welsh Paralympic cyclist Simon Richardson.

September 3 - Nigeria's Paralympians will be allowed to participate in the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi next month after the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) lifted 10 month suspension on the Nigeria Paralympics Committee (NPC).
