Munich 2018 chief executive backs Vancouver to put on unforgettable Paralympics

Speaking ahead of today’s Opening Ceremony, where Munich 2018 ambassador Frank Höfle will be Germany’s flag bearer, Bogner reflected on the success of the recent Winter Olympic Games.
He said: "I am sure that the outstanding impressions from the Olympic Games will be reinforced at the Paralympics.
"The friendliness of the Canadian hosts and their enthusiasm for the sporting ability of all the athletes will provide competitors will unforgettable Games."
A Munich 2018 delegation is due to travel here to play an active role in the Observer Programme which will provide essential insights into the practical planning and delivery of the Winter Paralympics Games, which Munich is bidding for and face competition from Annecy and Pyeongchang.
Munich 2018 will also be represented at the Games by ambassadors Martin Braxenhaler and Gerd Gradwohl, who will be battling for gold in the downhill events, and by Verena Bentele who is aiming to add to her collection of medals in the cross-country skiing and biathlon.
