June 23 - Mark Peters, chief executive of Gold Coast 2018, has claimed that the Australian city is looking to stage a larger component of Paralympic competition than usual at the Commonwealth Games if their bid is successful.
Du Toit completes golden Commonwealth Games double

October 7 - South African Paralympic heroine Natalie du Toit won her second gold and set her second meeting record of the Commonwealth Games here after claiming a comfortable victory in the women’s 100 metres freestyle S9 race.
